Future in Perspective – Eureka Secondary School

 Future in Perspective (FIP) engaged local teachers working in STEAM subjects and local school leaders to inform the development of the National Policy Recommendations report. These teachers were engaged through online consultations, telephone interviews and email exchange to elicit their feedback on the STEAMitUP approach to promoting a cross-curricular approach to how STEAM subjects are taught in schools, and to form practice recommendations to support other educators and schools to apply the STEAMitUP model and resources in their teaching practice. These practice recommendations were informed by their engagement in the STEAMitUP project. Through these recommendations, we aimed to gather their insights and perspectives so that they could transfer their learning to other stakeholders and educators in second-level education in Ireland. Through this process, we were able to form nationally-specific policy recommendations to contribute to the overall consortium-wide Policy Recommendations report.
