CARDET is the leading centre for training and development in Cyprus, with partners around the world. The centre’s mission is to inspire next generation education, and promote research, innovation and development through evidence-based practices, cutting-edge research, and empowered people. CARDET brings together an international team of passionate professionals with global expertise in literacies, reading promotion, vocational and adult training, e-learning, and evaluation.

CARDET has been advising organisations and Ministries in Asia, Europe, and the USA. Members of the CARDET team have successfully participated in more than 100 projects in over 30 countries, several of which were supported by the European Commission, the United Nations, Microsoft, and governments and agencies from around the world. The Management Team is supported by 10 members of the board/advisory board who are all international veterans in education, research, and evaluation. The majority of team members hold graduate degrees (Masters and/or PhD) in areas like literacies, education, research, multimedia development, inclusive education and evaluation.

Lancaster and Morecambe College (LMC) is a public sector college of further education and the main provider of vocational and adult education and training in North Lancashire and South Cumbria. It annually has around 1500 full-time students camp; 3000+ part-time or work based students.

LMC’s main role is to provide training in vocational skills to students of all ages and ability levels, leading to employment and/or academic skills leading to a place in higher education. LMC welcomes students of all ages and has well established courses in basic skills as well as initial teacher training and a range of business courses. LMC believes in making sure that their students and members of staff feel not only safe and valued but also supported to realise their potential. The LMC mission statement clearly sets out their role in the community. Providing Lancaster and Morecambe and surrounding communities with an outstanding student experience fulfilling vocational, personal and employment goals. International Projects play an important role in the personal and professional development of students and staff within the college. LMC has been involved in international activity for over 15 years and we are currently working with partners from across the EU on a range of projects funded under the Erasmus+ programme. Each year we send an average of 40 students abroad on international work experience placements in countries such as Italy, Denmark, Poland, Slovakia and Bulgaria.

Fundación Siglo22 is a non-profit organization that operates throughout the national territory under the Protectorate of Foundations of the Ministry of Education. The purposes that define the work of our Foundation are as follows:

• Develop programs and projects that facilitate the integration of information and communications technologies into the education system
• Improving gender equality and creating programs to improve equal opportunities through information and communication technologies.
• Develop programs and projects related to learning and the creation of shared knowledge networks.

Motivated by the need to improve the education system and gender equality deficiencies, in early 2011 an initial group of three professionals decided to found Siglo22, this project was joined by three other professionals in the field of education, gender equality, and technologies.

Our mission is contributing relevant experiences in education and society, which contribute to their steady improvement through innovation projects to foster learning and change.

Our vision is on the way to the creation of a continuing personal growth substrate supported by the constant search for innovation and cooperation, promoting equal opportunities among all people.

Future In Perspective Limited (FIPL) is a private company working in the field of vocational training, adult education, e-learning, digital media and social inclusion. The company focuses its work in 6 main areas:

• Conducting research and analysis in the fields of education, business development and support, social inclusion, and rural development with a special focus on participatory action research;
• Developing innovative continuous professional development training resources for VET and adult education professionals;
• Developing bespoke training for entrepreneurs and business owners to support workplace learning;
• Designing and implementing evaluation frameworks and conducting quality assurance audits and assessments;
• Multi-media design and training, the development of media rich learning tools, resources and environments, and audio-visual production;
• Developing overarching branding concepts and promotional campaigns for the community and voluntary sector and education providers to attract reluctant learners to lifelong learning;

FIPL work extensively with local business networks providing innovative curriculum materials for use in the workplace and in dynamic on-line environments supporting learning on the go. FIPL are experts in the design and development of mini-learning-format resources supporting just-in-time learning for business owners in the modern economy where skill needs change so fast.

The company employs 4 staff with considerable project management, curriculum development, multi-media production, research and administrative experience. It supplements the skills available by drawing on the expertise of a large cohort of part-time workers spanning a wide range of research, pedagogic, technical and media production categories.

Since its founding in 1917, Doukas School has always tried to keep up with the latest trends in education. In its 2,5 acres, setting with educational and athletic facilities amongst the best in design and construction, Doukas School (www.doukas.gr), a K-12 educational Institution, offers to its 1600 student body one of the finest educational and athletic programs in the country.

During the last years, the school has organized Conferences on Mathematics, Pre-school Education, Educational Computing & New Technologies, General Gymnastics and Sports, ST[r]EAM, Artificial Intelligences, such as the International Conference on the theme: “The School of the Future and the Future of the School” under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Education. Moreover, in 2011, Doukas School was identified as a Pathfinder School by Microsoft for its innovative educational practices and its potential to create scalable and replicable educational transformation that can influence schools within Greece and around the world. Lastly, Doukas School became Microsoft Case Study, for the implementation of 1:1 Computing in classroom.

The University of Groningen is an international research university in the north of the Netherlands, with an academic tradition dating back to 1614. Out of this tradition rose the first female student and the first female lecturer in the Netherlands, the first Dutch astronaut and the first president of the European Central Bank. Worldwide the University of Groningen belongs to the top 100. The university offers 180+ highly-ranked Bachelor’s, Master's and PhD degree programmes across 11 faculties. It has a student population of over 30,000 students from 120+ countries. 

The Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) offers a wide range of research and teaching programmes, from nanomaterials to astronomy, from mathematics to neurosciences, and from pharmacy to marine biology. Researchers pursue fundamental key questions while collaborating with partners from industry, the medical world and other realms of society. The Institute for Science Education and Communication serves as a bridge between these programmes and the society, as it provides the knowledge and tools to communicate this knowledge to the public and to design curriculum materials for schools. The Institute for Science Education and Communication is working on a research programme aimed at improving the teaching in mathematics and science education through various strategies and tools such as ICT and mobile technologies. Research projects are carried out in elementary, secondary and university education.

The Institute for Science Education and Communication works closely with Science LinX, the in-house science center of the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Science Linx is active in upstream and downstream engagement. To that aim, it develops science exhibitions for the faculty buildings and festivals, fosters dialogue activities and a series of programmes to stimulate STEM teaching. Science LinX coordinates the regional schools network (Netwerk Noord), involving 5000+ students, 300+ teachers and about 40 schools. These networks offer different teacher professionalization activities and many science education activities for students. With a fresh and tailor-made approach it facilitates continuous learning across borders of science, education, work and civil society. Each year Science LinX involves some 50.000 visitors in its activities.
